    Hello Friends,

I know a lot of you must be saying, “It’s about time!” This is a class that has been requested by so many of you for a long time now. Sorry it has taken me so long! For those of you that know Korean BBQ, you understand the demand for this class. For those of you that have not experienced this amazing cuisine, let me just tell you…. it is seriously the best BBQ ever! The mix of flavors are enough to make you crave this like none other.

I did the marinated short rib as a taster in my classes this week and it was awesome to see and hear the expressions of every person that ate it. Let’s just say, I have never heard anything that was enjoyed as much in my kitchen before like this taster! It was awesome!

This class will be the last outdoor grilling class for the year. Oh how I love the outdoor grilling classes we hold all summer long. Such beautiful nights! Talk about a perfect date night! And man… my neighbors must have been salivating like crazy with the amazing smells coming off our grill. This class will take the “making your neighbor crazy with envy” to a whole new level when they smell these Korean dishes on the grill. Not only is it the best tasting, but it is also the best smelling BBQ ever! You will see… or should I say “smell” (wink. wink.).

Here is what is on this mouthwatering menu: Kalbi (Marinated BBQ Short Rib), Dak Bulgogi (Marinated BBQ Chicken), Three Popular Korean Side Dishes: Korean Flavored Spinach (the best spinach dish… even your kids will love it!), Korean Bean Sprouts (Yup… your kids are going to love this one too!), A Korean Spicy Cucumber Dish and Chap Chae (An incredible rice noodle with veggies dish that seriously makes a fan of anyone that tastes it!).

The dates for this class is Thursday, September 19th at 5:30 and Friday, September 20th at 5;30.

    Happy Cooking!

    Hello Friends,

In answer to your “Please teach another salads class!” I say….”You got it!” With the start of summer, salads are the perfect meal or meal accompaniment. I haven’t got three, but four amazing “Jenny” salads to teach to you in my upcoming class. Fresh, unique, flavor bursting salads! And I could not wait another second to teach my newest dessert creation with you. It will take you to you to a whole new level of dessert “heaven.” Mark my words, you will make this one so many times, your recipe page will be stained and wrinkled….. a sign of true love.

I think these salads scream summer with their fresh and vibrant tastes. They are also ones that are full of healthy, good for you ingredients. Eat to your hearts content! Tastes good and makes you feel good… what a perfect combination!

The dates for this class is Thursday, June 20th at 5:30 and Friday, June 21st at 5:30.

    Hello Friends,

Who said you can’t live on bread alone? With the ones I will teach you, you will want to! Is there a better smell than “fresh from the oven” bread ? I think not! Just ask my family. Not only is homemade bread more delicious than the store bought stuff, but it is better for you and you won’t believe how much $$$ you will save! No… it wont take you days… easy peasy with a bread learning class from me!

You have all been waiting for me to teach my amazing buttery rolls, and people… the time has finally arrived! I love making homemade breads and rolls of all sorts and I am excited to teach these delicious staples (as in you will make them time and time again) to you! By the way, I am calling this class Breads and Jams Class #1 because I know there will be #2 and more!

The dates for this class is Thursday, June 6th at 5:30 and Friday, June 7th at 5:30. If there is enough interest I will offer a class on Thursday May 30th at 5:30 too. If you would like to sign up for this class please click HERE!

    Hello Friends,

I have got a wonderful savory menu for my next class! And with the exception of the dessert, it is pretty healthy too. Using lots of veggies in the dishes and my favorite grain. And another bonus…. these dishes are pretty quick to throw together. You’ve got to love that! I know you will absolutely love this menu!

The dessert was inspired by something similar I had in San Francisco. And while in Playa del Carmen a couple of weeks ago, I had the absolute best ice cream in the world! My favorite was the coconut… so of course I had to create my own delicious version. If I do say so myself, I succeeded! Now it is time to share the deliciousness with you!

The dates for this class is Thursday, May 16th at 5:30 and Friday, May 17that 5:30. Very limited spots for the Thursday class.  Click on this LINK to sign learn more about the class sign up!

    Hello Friends,

Yes! Spring has sprung and summer is not too far in our future…. hip hip hooray! Yes people… that is exactly how I feel. To celebrate the warmer weather, blooming flowers and sunshine, I feel the need to share a menu that reminds me of these seasons and that will take us outside… to the BBQ grill that is. Remember how fun my outside grilling classes were last year? It’s about time we do it again! Well… that is… as long as the weather keeps being beautiful. So weather…. keep being beautiful…ok?

I did something I am so proud of! I created the most amazing BBQ sauce… I am talking SO DANG GOOD BBQ sauce! Get the picture? Of course I have to share it with all of you. Never again will I buy the sauce in the bottle. It will only sorely disappoint now. And boy is it easy. I am talking throw all the ingredients in a bowl and stir easy. Now that is easy!

Ok, It is time to reveal this mouthwatering, so dang good, amazing menu: The Best BBQ Chicken with The Best BBQ Sauce, Light and Fluffy Biscuits (my new obsession! As in I cannot stop making and eating them!), Green Salad with a Garlic and Herbs Creamy Dressing with Homemade Cheesy Croutons (oh yes… another party in your mouth salad), Potato and Mushroom Gratin with Gruyere Cheese (you potato and cheese people…. no words good) and for dessert… Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp ( this wins the crisps contest over peach, apple berries…. you name it!).

The dates for this class is Thursday, May 2nd at 5:30 and Friday, May 3rd at 5:30. Very limited spots for the Thursday class.

    Hello Friends,

I dont know about you, but I am tired of buying and feeding my family prepackaged food. There is nothing like the taste of “from scratch” “I know every ingredient in my food” “less is more” “freshly made” goodness. And no… it does not have to be hard or time consuming. Not only will your meal taste better, it will be better for you!

While traveling and eating my way through Italy, I noticed that everything I was served was fresh. They just don’t serve anything processed or from a package or freezer. It tasted amazing! Homemade pasta is so easy and so simple! With the right directions, you too can be serving fresh pasta just like they do in Italy!

Good sauces, start with the mix of the right ingredients….. and I am prepared to blow you away when you taste the Leek Puree I will teach you how to make. It is such a smooth, creamy, flavorful sauce unlike any you have had before. Trust me on this one…. I am sure it will become one of your absolute favorites! My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

On this mouth watering menu this go around is: Homemade Fettucine with Leek Puree, Penne with Seared Chicken and a Walnut Garlic Cream Sauce, Warm Goat Cheese Salad with a Guava Vinaigrette, Foccacia Rolls served with a Tomato Tapenade and an amazing Peanut Butter with Chocolate Ganache Semi Freddo (think peanut butter and chocolate ice cream – like dessert).

Classes for this menu will be held on Thursday, April 4th at 5:30 and Friday April 5th at 5:30. Once again, spots are limited, so please let me know ASAP if you want in!

My limit for each class is 16 people. I first demonstrate how to make all the dishes and then we feast! So come hungry! The cost of each class is $60.00 per person. *Please note the price change. Let me know if you are interested and I will contact you with more information about the class and tentatively put your name on the reservation list. When I receive your check, I will reserve your spot (31801 Via Perdiz, Coto de Caza, CA 92679. Make checks payable to Jenny Evans). My classes are filling up really fast so please let me know if you are interested before you send me a check to make sure there is an open spot. For cancellations, I require a “5 days before the class” notice for a refund.

I have had a lot of requests for private classes. I have taught gatherings for birthdays, couples classes, or just someone that wanted to learn a past menu and got a group of friends together to learn. I love doing these party- like classes and talk about a good time! Please feel free to contact me anytime if you are interested in doing such a class. I require 16 people for a private class.

Anyone is invited to attend, so please feel free to forward this on to your friends, neighbors and family. I hope you can join me for another gathering of delicious food and a fun night!

I am excited to announce that my Gatherings….. for the love of food website/blog is up!! The website address is jennysgatherings.com. I have a new recipe from my last class posted in it so check it out! You will also be able to sign up and pay for your classes online soon. • Stuffed Flank Steak Class

    Description:

    Hello Friends,

If the photos above are not making your mouth water….they should! And the picture of the dessert is not even included but should be. You my friends are going to love this menu. The flank steak I came up with one day in the kitchen at lunch time. My hubby and kids followed their noses down to the stove to see what was cooking and they took one bite and fell instantly in love! In fact, they gobbled up every last bite! I knew I had a winner right there and then. With the exception of the rolls which I also came up with while experimenting in kitchen, the other dishes were inspired by some of my favorite restaurants while on my last vacation. I took one bite and knew I would be recreating them. And boy did I!

Here is what we will have cooking in my next class: Stuffed Flank Steak (stuffed with an herbed cheese mix and spinach) served with a marinara sauce, Sauteed Mushrooms and Potato side dish (I served this one as my taster in the last class….to die for!), Roasted Banana Squash Salad with a Pancetta and Fig Vinaigrette (no words for how good this is), Cheese Stuffed Rolls (YUM!) and an amazing light and fluffy Cheesecake with Berries ( I usually make my cheesecakes dense, but after eating one like this in Park City, I am converted!).

I will be holding these classes on Thursday, March 7th at 5:30 and Friday, March 8th at 5:30.

I am thinking of teaching a “from scratch” fresh pasta class with some amazing sauces, foccacia rolls with a tomato tapanade, warm goat cheese salad with a guava vinaigrette and a peanut butter and chocolate semi freddo for dessert the following week on either Thursday March 14th or Friday March 15th or both if there is enough demand. This menu is also out of this world good! I will send out an email hopefully later this week about it with photos. But please let me know if any of you are interested in this class. I will not be having any other classes for the rest of the month of March. Once I hear back from you all I will let you know if I will hold this class or not.

My limit for each class is 16 people. I first demonstrate how to make all the dishes and then we feast! So come hungry! The cost of each class is $60.00 per person. * Please note the price change. Let me know if you are interested and I will contact you with more information about the class and tentatively put your name on the reservation list. When I receive your check, I will reserve your spot (31801 Via Perdiz, Coto de Caza, CA 92679). Description:

    Hello Friends,

I have open spots for both days this week. This menu is so good that I know you will be making these dishes again and again! Please let me know if you are interested in joining me for one of these classes!

You may be asking yourself…TG? What is TG? TG is the initials of one of my favorite eating spots. If you follow me on Instagram (jennyleeevans), you have read some of my posts about this place and how much I have frequented it. It is not often I eat at the same place three times in one week! As many of you know…. I get much of my inspiration for my dishes from great dishes I have had elsewhere. You better believe I went right to work in my kitchen after eating here.

The great thing about these dishes is they are packed full of flavor but you don’t feel like you swallowed a brick afterward. Good, pure ingredients that are good for you but don’t taste like one of those “healthy” places that taste “healthy” if you know what I mean. You will never eat better roasted veggies than this. You will actually crave them….. imagine that….craving vegetables?? Yes, it is true… come feast with me and see!

Here is what is in this incredibly tasty menu this go around: Pork chops with Sofrito Sauce topped with greens, The Best Roasted Vegetables Around, Farro (my favorite grain), Roasted Tomato Soup with Basil Oil, Herbed Ciabatta Grilled Toast, and an amazing Chocolate Panna Cotta with a Caramel Sauce. Trust me….your taste buds will be singing after this meal!

The dates for these classes are on Friday, February 22nd at 5:00 and Saturday, February 23rd at 5:30.

My limit for each class is 16 people. I first demonstrate how to make all the dishes and then we feast! So come hungry!
