As many of you know… I’ve been to an amazing culinary school in Tuscany for the past two years (yes, I’m going again in 2019 so plan on joining me if you can!) and the food is out of this world. I have two dishes that are inspired from my trip on this menu that I know you will be as obsessed with as me! I’m talking… “I want to eat them everyday” kind of obsession!
Here’s what’s on my next menu for my cooking class plus dinner feast: Braised Beef Shanks (fall off the bone tender meat that’s is beyond delicious!), Italian Farro Salad (an incredibly flavorful and nutrient rich dish), Cornbread with Goat Cheese and Chives (I know.. this isn’t Italian… but it’s so good and perfect for this time of year!), Roasted Butternut Squash (thats packed with a myriad of flavors) and for the most amazing Fall dessert… my Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal Cake with a Salted Caramel Drizzle. Talk about satisfying every craving!

The cost of each class is $80.00 per person. Let me know if you are interested and I will contact you with more information about the class and tentatively put your name on the reservation list. When I receive your check, I will reserve your spot (31801 Via Perdiz, Coto de Caza, CA 92679, Checks made payable to Jenny Evans). Or even better… pay with Venmo (@jenny-evans-9). Jenny’s Signature Salad

IMG_3617

I can’t believe I haven’t shared the recipe for this salad with you in the past. I have made and served this salad more than any other of the many, many salads I have created. It is simple, easy to make and literally pairs well with any meal. It is also a HUGE favorite of anyone that has had it. I have had many of my son’s friends that detest salad request it from me… they can’t get enough! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard this from so called “salad haters”…. kids, teens and grown ups alike. This is a sure hit and I know will become your “go to” salad just like it’s mine. And the timing couldn’t be more perfect… Salad season is definitely upon us! Enjoy my friends… you can find the recipe HERE!

Hello Friends,

POSSIBLE CLASS ADDED – IF I HAVE ENOUGH INTEREST I WILL ADDING AN ADDITIONAL CLASS ON FRIDAY, MAY 4TH AT 5:30 PM. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED PLEASE CONTACT ME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING MENU! THIS WILL BE MY LAST CLASS UNTIL FALL.

What is it about Spring? It is just the happiest word… don’t you think? Well… to celebrate this happy season I am teaching one of the best menus ever… and I mean ever… mark my words! Not only is this menu fresh and delicious… it’s definitely on the “healthier” side without tasting “healthy” if you know what I mean! No taste deprivation here… actually the exact opposite… flavors galore! After all… I know this is the time of year you are all ready to shed the warm layers and get swimsuit ready. This menu is the perfect Spring/Summer time meal for your next gathering. Hello warm sunshine and delicious food!

For those of you that have had my epic roasted carrots dish with yogurt sauce (one for the books and a huge favorite!), this side dish I’ll be teaching is just as epic if not more so. I know… that’s saying a lot, but I mean it! It’s got it all.. bursting flavors, fresh veggies, protein and oh so satisfying and filling! It can easily be turned into a main dish. Don’t we all love versatility?!

Ok… enough talk… here’s what’s on this epic menu: Lobster Burrata (I don’t think there is any better appetizer!), Soy Glazed Whole Roasted Chicken (most moist chicken everrrrrr! Roast chicken dreams I tell ya!), Quinoa, Butternut Squash and Brussels Sprouts with a Green Curry Yogurt Sauce (I’m telling you.. I may become famous from this one!) and one of my favorite desserts ever…. Dessert Ricotta with Fresh Berries (yes… we will be making this ricotta from scratch!).

I’ll be teaching this class right around the corner (my next few months are BUSY!). Thursday, May 3rd at 5:30 pm. Don’t delay in emailing me for a spot… as you know… first come first serve!

My limit for each class is 24 people. I first demonstrate how to make all the dishes and then we feast! Yes, this is a cooking class plus dinner. You got to love that! So come hungry! Hello Friends,
It’s been too long since I’ve taught an Asian themed class… and the wait is over! This one is literally “off the charts” delicious! Some of my all time favorites mixed in with some new creations. With my Korean roots… I have a love for food with big flavor. I am talking about dishes that you will have you thinking about and wanting again for days if not weeks after feasting on them. This menu was a HUGE hit at the table! You will also learn how to grill the “perfect” steak… a must know for everyone. So grab you significant other… because this class is the perfect date night!
Here’s what is on the menu: Grilled Steak with a Korean Glaze (so good you will want to drink it! Also amazing on chicken, pork, fish, veggies… literally anything! Trust me.. this glaze will become a staple in your home…it’s that good!), Pumpkin Soup (this was (and still is) a favorite of mine growing up)… I’ll let you in on a secret… it’s actually made with Kobacha Squash.. the sweetest, most delicious squash around! Kimchi Slaw… I freaking love this stuff and for the best finish… a Coconut Panna Cotta with a Guava Sauce (There aren’t words adequate to describe just how good this dessert is!).
I will be teaching this class on Friday, March 9th at 5:30.For at least the next two months (possibly longer), I will not be teaching classes on Thursdays due to my boy’s volleyball games. Friday night’s make the best GNO and date nights anyways! I will only be teaching this class this one night only due to my busy schedule, so let me know ASAP if you want in!

Individual Cheesecake Parfaits

IMG_8472

Valentine’s day is around the corner… and I’ve got the perfect dessert for the occasion. I taught how to make these delicious individual cheesecake parfaits a couple of years ago and they are so dang good! They’ve got it all… a sweet graham cracker bottom, real cheesecake chunks, the most delicious creamy and light cheesecake filling… topped with a cherry compote, whipped cream, chocolate shavings (because there has to be chocolate on Valentine’s day… isn’t that a law or something?) and the crunch of some roasted pistachios. If that doesn’t sound heavenly… then nothing does!

I’m throwing my first ever “Gal”entines party this weekend and I knew exactly what I wanted to serve for the sweet ending to my feast. So my friends… as my Valentine’s gift to you all… I am sharing this amazing recipe. Happy Valentines day and get your dessert making on!

XOXO,

Jenny

Hello Friends,
After a long break…. I’m back! And I’m starting my first class in 2018 with an epic menu! If you love Mexican food like I do…. you’re not going to want to miss this one. These dishes are inspired from a Mexican feast I went to that was a collaboration of a group of chefs from all over. I went home and went straight to work and yes.. I hit the jackpot! I’m excited to share these amazing dishes with you.
I’ve never like mole sauce. Every time I had it, it was just too bitter for my taste. That is… until I went to the feast that I mentioned above… and I was so inspired to come up with a mole sauce that I love and knew everyone else would too. I have since served it numerous times and it is a huge hit every single time. It’s such a versatile sauce… but I decided to use it in the most epic enchiladas. It’s hard to not eat half the pan!
Here’s what’s on this mouth watering menu: Chicken Enchiladas with Mole Sauce, Greens and Apples Salad with a Smoky Jalapeño Vinaigrette, Black Bean Soup with Smoked Pork Belly and for the perfect finish… Orange Creamsicle Tartlets with Blackberries.
I will be teaching this class on Thursday, February 22nd at 5:30.

My limit for each class is 24 people. I first demonstrate how to make all the dishes and then we feast! Yes, this is a cooking class plus dinner. You got to love that! So come hungry!
